Arts and Ideas focuses on the significance of art, its social role, its foundation in aesthetics, and its importance as a way of interpreting reality.  It introduces the student to the arts as a way of knowing and shaping the world.  The focus of this section is integral art, a new movement that comprises body, mind and spirit, in self, nature, and culture.  The class will study integral art through painting, music, film, and literature.
