Opportunities for UNC Asheville Students; $100,000
Fund Promises to Change Lives:
Many students enter college wanting to change the
world. Matt Rumley certainly did. At UNC Asheville,
Rumley harnessed that youthful idealism to
real-world solutions through studies in
international human rights law. And when he became
the first student to take advantage of the
University's new Mountains to the World Travel Fund,
he realized that the world could change him.

Annual Giving Program News
Spring
Fundraising Campaign Continues:
Over the next few weeks you will be
contacted asking for support of UNC Asheville. Your
financial investment in the University helps your
Alma Mater continue to offer one of the nation’s
leading liberal arts educations. Although state
support for higher education remains strong in North
Carolina, state dollars account for only 42 percent
of the University’s budget and tuition only 19
percent. The difference is made up through the
generous support and investment of alumni and
friends. Please consider making a contribution when
you hear from us, or put your gift to work today and
make your donation online.
