Graduate Degree Programs
The Asheville Graduate Center currently offers over 40 advanced academic degree programs—including master’s degrees, the education specialist degree and doctoral degrees from four universities in the University of North Carolina system.

About 600 residents of Western North Carolina are enrolled in these advanced degree programs, which include: master’s degrees in Educational Media, Geography (Land Planning) and Library Science (K-12) from Appalachian State University; master of liberal arts from UNC Asheville; master of engineering from North Carolina State University; and over 20 master’s degree programs of Western Carolina University in areas ranging from education to health sciences and business.
These degree programs are designed to help area residents advance their career goals and to serve their lifelong learning needs.
