Academic Warning
Academic Warning is just that-a warning. It's a chance to re-evaluate your academic strengths and challenges, study habits, and lifestyle choices that may be negatively affecting your ability to fully reach your academic potential. While on Academic Warning, you should discuss strategies for success with your advisor and take full advantage of the resources available on campus.
GPA Requirement
Students are placed on Academic Warning when their UNC Asheville GPA falls below 2.0 (C average).

Registration Limits
Students on Academic Warning are allows to register for a maximum of 14 hours in a regular (Fall or Spring) semester, and one course per term in the Summer. They get a registration hold placed on their account, and cannot access registration in OnePort until they have met with their advisor and completed an Academic Recovery Worksheet.
Consequences
Students have a limited amount of time on Academic Warning to improve their GPA. After one semester on Academic Warning, students may be suspended if they don't meet certain GPA levels.
