Registration Overrides
Online overrides allow faculty to give permission to students to register for their course despite the following registration errors:
- pre-requisite
- closed/special permission course
- co-requisite
- time conflict
However, faculty cannot override link, repeat course, or maximum hour errors. These errors must be addressed in the OneStop Office.
Receiving an online override does not mean you are registered for a course!
Once you receive an online override for a class, you must then register for the course via OnePort.
How to register for a class after receiving an online override:
- Make sure you know the CRN for the class(es) you've received an override for (this is important!)
- Log into OnePort
- Select the Student tab
- Choose Academic Services
- Click "continue" under Banner Services
- Choose Student & Financial Aid
- Select Registration
- Choose Add or Drop Classes, and select the term you're registering for when prompted
- Enter the CRN(s) on the worksheet and submit. If you still receive a closed class, time conflict, pre-requisite, or co-requisite error, check with your instructor to make sure the online override was correctly entered. If you receive a different error, please see the OneStop.
