Search For Student

The Student Search option in OnePort allows you to find information for individual students. To see information on a particular student, you may select them through your Advisee Listing or Summary Class List.

If you're an advisor looking for a student who isn't your advisee and isn't enrolled in your class(es), follow the steps listed below:

  1. Log into OnePort
  2. Select the Student tab
  3. Choose Academic Services
  4. Click "continue" under Banner Services
  5. Choose Faculty Services
  6. Click Term Selection and choose the current term
  7. Choose Student Search
  8. Enter their student ID number (they must provide this for you)
  9. Select the All radial button (this is important!)
  10. Confirm your selection. Everything you look at in OnePort will now be about this student until you search for and select another student.

If you are not an advisor, but need to view information about a student, follow the steps listed below:

  1. Log into OnePort
  2. Select the Student tab
  3. Choose Academic Services
  4. Click "continue" under Banner Services
  5. Choose Faculty Services
  6. Click Term Selection and choose the current term (this is important!)
  7. Choose Student Search

DON'T FORGET

Student ID number are 9-digit numbers. One their OneCard, students have an additional digit that indicates how many replacement OneCards they have gotten ( a student with the number 930XXXXXX3 is on their 3rd OneCard). This last digit is not a part of the ID number and, if they give it you to, should be dropped off when you do a Student Search.
