Congratulations on being admitted to UNC Asheville as a transfer student for Fall 2008!
We have admitted you to UNC Asheville because of your exceptional academic performance and civic engagement, and we hope that you decide that UNC Asheville is the best place for you to continue your academic and life pursuits. Once you have decided that UNC Asheville is the university you would like to attend, you will need to submit your tuition and housing deposit.
Summit Orientation for Transfers is held twice a summer. The first Summit Orientation for transfer students was held on Monday, June 23, 2008. If you did not attend Summit Orientation in June you must RSVP to attend Summit Orientation on Thursday, August 14. To RSVP, contact Stephanie Franklin at 828/250-3808.
During Summit , you will learn about the services, programs, and people that will help you make your time at UNC Asheville a successful and positive experience. You will also have the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, with whom you will review your academic history and goals and plan your Fall 2008 schedule. After you meet with your advisor, you will begin registering for classes online through OnePort. You can find the Summit RSVP form, with other helpful links, on the "Quick Links" menu to the right.
Summit Orientation Phase Two, which will take place in August before classes begin, will give you further opportunity to get acquainted with the people, places, and resources that will support you throughout your time at UNC Asheville. This program begins on Friday August 15, which is also new students living on campus will move into their residence halls, and continues until classes start on Tuesday August 19.
