We find they are independent thinkers, curious learners and service volunteers. Other than that, it’s hard to describe our typical student because they represent a wide diversity of interests and passions.

Our students choose UNC Asheville for the personal attention they find here with smaller classes and a focus on undergraduate education. With an integrated core curriculum, we help students master complex concepts, then apply what they learn in practical internships, independent study projects, community service and study abroad.
