Congratulations on being admitted to UNC Asheville for Fall 2008! On behalf of the entire campus community, we would like to welcome you to UNC Asheville and the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina. As a new student, we're sure you will have many questions about the university and what you need to do before your first day of classes. We've put together this site to answer those questions and to help you make a smooth to UNC Asheville.

Course registration information:

All new freshmen and new transfer students should plan to attend Summit Orientation

During Summit, you will learn about the services, programs, and people that will help you make your time at UNC Asheville a successful and positive experience. You will also have the opportunity to meet with an academic advisor, with whom you will review your academic history and goals and plan your first semester schedule. After you meet with your advisor, you will be able to register for classes online through OnePort. Please see Freshman FAQs or Transfer FAQs for more information.

Other new students are not required to attend Summit Orientation. More information about registration will be posted in mid-spring.

 

Want to more about classes?

All new degree-seeking students take a Liberal Studies Introductory Colloquium. Freshman take an LSIC 179 and transfer students take an LSIC 379.
