The Office of Academic Affairs is responsible for oversight, management, and accomplishment of the institution's educational mission: "UNC Asheville offers a liberal arts education characterized by high quality faculty-student interaction...to all promising students who are committed to liberal learning and personal growth." (UNC Asheville Mission Statement)  We strive to provide an environment that cultivates student learning and growth through exemplary teaching, innovative scholarship, creative expression, and an array of engaged learning activities including undergraduate research, community service, and practical experience.
