The ITS HelpDesk is located on the main floor of Ramsey Library. It can also be reached by dialing 828/251-6445 or by sending email to helpdesk@unca.edu. While classes are in session during fall and spring semesters, the HelpDesk hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 9:00pm; Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. All other times, the hours are M-F, 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Working hours for ITS are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, although operations staff, lab assistants and HelpDesk assistants have weekday/night hours, and lab assistants have weekend hours. We also have one lab/smart classroom manager available M-Th until 9:00pm.

Our User Services staff handles end user support for the campus and is the first line of assistance most faculty, staff and students will use.  The A I S division coordinates the acquisition and maintenance of central databases, ensures data access security, provides analytical services to university departments and is in charge of our central software systems, including database web applications support. The Systems and Network division is responsible for system programming, central computing resources and the design and maintenance of the campus network infrastructure.

For students, we provide a comprehensive computing support environment whose key components are our residence hall network, RESNET, and our widely available computer labs. Check the Student Computing links to the left for more information.
